Pastoral Groups

If our relationship with God should be our very first priority, then our relationship with each other must be our next priority.  We are one in the bond of love – one family and one body with Christ as the head.  God intended for us to enjoy fellowship and to be blessed and encouraged by each other.

Hebrews 10:24-25 says,
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. “

We believe in growing in fellowship with each other in rich, God-centred relationships and one of the primary ways we build relationships and cultivate fellowship with each other here is through a network of small care groups that we call “Pastoral Groups.”  These Pastoral Groups are made up of between 10-15 church members and meet three times per month (every Wednesday except the last Wednesday of each month when all are encouraged to be at the church for our monthly joint prayer meeting) in the homes of some of its members.  In this more relaxed and informal setting, we hope to achieve three main objectives;

  1. Application of God’s word to our lives

  2. Rich relationships and biblical fellowship

  3. Caring & Ministering to one another

There are currently 5 such groups which are  named FAITH, JOY, GRACE, LOVE and PEACE respectively.  The groups are encouraged to have a wide cross-section of the church members but inevitably, they all have their particular mix of individuals and their own character.  There is definitely a Pastoral Group for you.
