Bangsar Gospel Centre (BGC) is, first and foremost, a fellowship of believers who seek to glorify God through worship, evangelising our community and the world, and making faithful disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are an evangelical church and part of the Christian Brethren of Malaysia which has its roots in the Plymouth Brethren movement that arose in the United Kingdom in the late 1820s. BGC started in 1974 with about 6 families residing in the Bangsar and Damansara neighborhoods. A “child” of Jalan Imbi Chapel, it moved to its present premises two years later.
Since then, God has planted new churches through BGC: Taman Tun Dr Ismail Gospel Centre in October 1986, Bandar Utama Gospel Centre in March 1995, Nilai Gospel Centre in December 1998, Kelana Jaya Gospel Centre in October 2001 and Desa Chapel in October 2009.
Bangsar Gospel Centre is a member of the NECF (National Evangelical Christian Fellowship) Malaysia.
